Masks Now Required at All Natrol Facilities

Dear Valued Distributors,

First, Natrol wishes everyone stay healthy in these difficult and unprecedented times, and that you take the maximum protections to keep your family and loved ones safe.

The COVID-19 worldwide situation is going to be with us for a long time, so we need to understand the implications, and make preventative behavioral changes now to protect ourselves.

In the short term, it will change the way we interact in public, socially with friends, at school, religious and other large gatherings in close proximity, how we travel, and at work. Because there is no vaccine and no specific proven treatments or cure, it is very important to limit the spread by practicing the following:

• Extreme hygiene, washing hands frequently, disinfecting objects touched frequently, not touching the face/nose/eyes with unwashed hands
• Social distancing of at least 6 feet/2 meters in most situation, and 12 feet/4 meters when exercising with others nearby
• Staying in shelter as much as possible, in order to not spread COVID-19 if you have it, or not get it from others who do not show symptoms but can spread it
• Wear a mask or other face covering when outside the house or with others!

Therefore, in addition to the first three practices, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, Natrol has issued masks to all employees. All employees are now required to wear masks at all times when in our facilities.

California “Safer at Home” Order

Dear Valued Distributors,

On 3/19/20, the state of California issued the “Safer-at-Home” order in response to the continuing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic. Excluded from this order are Essential Workforce businesses. Natrol LLC is considered an Essential Workforce business, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security and CISA. We supply dietary supplements to retailers and distributors of food and nutritional products and these products are needed for the health and well-being of the general public. Therefore, we will continue operating with added scrutiny on cleanliness, hygiene and social distancing.

As we have recently communicated, Natrol has taken proactive steps to keep our supply chain stable and agile. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak in Europe, we increased our safety stocks of raw materials and are actively communicating with our suppliers to determine supply risks based on origins and market availability. Natrol Distributor Update on COVID-19

Dear Valued Customers,

At Natrol, serving you is the most important thing we do. We are closely monitoring the evolving situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) both in the U.S. and globally. While the circumstances of COVID-19 remain dynamic and uncertain, we have taken and continue to take assertive, steady action to help ensure that our employees as well as our supply chain at Natrol remains healthy and strong.

As a result of panic response by consumers in USA, we are unable to ship product to you at this time, and will return to shipping once US demand is stabilized, expected in April. Natrol has taken proactive steps to keep our supply chain stable and agile. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak in Europe, we increased our safety stocks of raw materials and are actively communicating with our suppliers to determine supply risks based on origins and market availability.

As we manage through the increased demand, we respectfully ask for a higher amount of communication and transparency from our valued trading partners. If you foresee any changes in your demand, we ask that you contact Natrol immediately to provide an updated forecast. We are committed to providing all of our customers with outstanding customer care/service levels and stand ready to accommodate the higher levels of demand at store level.

In addition, we’ve taken the following actions to prevent and protect against the COVID-19 virus:

• Feb 17 Purchased infrared thermometers to assess if any employees show a fever and increased sanitization procedures.
• Feb 19 Held a Town Hall with all employees to discuss the virus, teach proper hand washing techniques, and share preventive safety best practices including new internal policies to send home anyone with flu-like symptoms.
• Feb 24 Reviewed with all our manufacturing personnel that they continue to practice their normal intense hygienic and preventative procedures, as well as grounding all personnel (no plane travel).
• Feb 28 Quality Control added even further inspections of incoming raw materials. Increased the number of cleaning staff members to disinfect common touch-points like door handles, doors, and other surfaces.
• Mar 3 Implemented new policies restricting visitor access to Natrol facilities, aiming to minimize all outsiders entering our facilities.
• Mar 16 Implemented a work-from-home protocol to minimize the number of employee gatherings and in-person meetings.

What do I need to know about COVID-19?

As a health and wellness organization, Natrol is keenly concerned about the recent worldwide outbreak of a novel strain of the coronavirus now detected in more than 100 locations internationally. The coronavirus is a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases.
This new virus strain was first identified in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and has been named “SARS-CoV-2.” The disease it’s causing is abbreviated “COVID-19”, short for Coronavirus Disease 2019. More about Coronavirus.

How does it spread?
Currently, the World Health Organization (WHO) is reporting that COVID-19 is quite contagious. Although this type of coronavirus originates from bats, it quickly begins spreading from person to person when someone coughs or exhales moisture onto nearby surfaces, objects or directly onto another person. And then another person touches their face in some manner or inhales the expulsion directly. What is the incubation period?
The U.S.’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) believes at this time that symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure. Latest COVID-19 alerts.

What are the symptoms?
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:

• Fever
• Fatique
• Dry Cough
• Shortness of breath

Less common symptoms are:

• Aches and pains
• Nasal congestion
• Runny nose
• Sore throat
• Diarrhea
• Pneumonia

How do I protect myself, friends and family?

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Maintain at least 3 feet (1 meter) between yourself and anyone coughing or sneezing.
• Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, or wash them with soap and water.
• Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Dispose of the used tissue immediately.
• Stay home if you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing; and seek medical attention immediately.
• Stay informed. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority and your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

What is the treatment for COVID-19?
Currently there is no vaccine or antiviral medicine to prevent or treat COVID-2019. Possible vaccines are under investigation. If you suspect you have COVID-19, seek medical treatment immediately to help relieve the symptoms. The good news is most patients recover thanks to supportive care.

As of 3/10/2020, according to the World Health Organization, there had been 113,702 confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally and 4,012 deaths. Of those cases, here is the fatality rate by age:

Important Natrol Distributor 2020 Policy Changes

As you have seen, the world economies and relationships between countries are moving away from a known global order with clear rules, precedents, and mutual respect; and more toward nuanced bilateral economic arrangements. Some of those arrangements have hampered Natrol’s International division by reducing access and increasing costs, both of which affect our business and are resulting in some changes.

Another development is the unstoppable expansion and growth of online services, e­commerce, and web based social media; which have changed consumer behaviors and have reached unprecedented levels of influence in our daily lives. These changes are creating new business opportunities and new solutions such that now, together, we can reach new consumers in every corner of the planet. Natrol can help support you by leveraging these new opportunities.

Changes effective May 1^st, 2020

The above conditions are leading Natrol to modify the conditions for doing business within the International division. These changes will take effect May 1^st, 2020, and are as follows:

• Natrol will raise its minimum annual purchases to $40,000/year.
• Natrol needs a forecast to have products available, aiming towards shipping US $10,000 per quarter minimum to reach the $40,000/year minimum.
• New Natrol pricing takes effect June 1^st, 2020, increasing to reflect raw materials and other changes in Natrol’s cost structure.
